Emma 1 Year Old Session - Jackson, MI Photographer
My very first newborn to 1 year old just celebrated her first birthday, I know that it flew by for mom and dad and it sure felt the same way for me, every time I turned around it seemed like it was time for her next session! I loved being able to capture her growing and changing this past year! I hope to be able to continue capturing her growth for years! :)

Nine Month Old Michael
Michael is one of the babies who I have been seeing for photos since he was a newborn. It's amazing how fast they keep growing! Mr. Michael has thee best baby cheeks that I have ever seen, seriously I love them! I'm sure mom isn't ready for him to be one yet but I can't wait for his next session (especially since one year old's mean cake!)

Class of 2014 Senior Rep Program
It's hard to believe it's almost Senior Season again! I decided, after shooting last year, that High School seniors are among my favorite subjects. As much as I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE babies and kids, seniors are the nice break you need to keep your sanity some days! Many sessions of shooting on the fly after a rambunctious toddlers or the kids who just do not want their photo taken, it's nice to take a break from that for seniors who can follow instructions and pose themselves and best of all hold the pose for more than 2 seconds :).
I know it's been a really long time since I was a high school senior myself but I can remember how excited I was for my senior session, and I can remember how much I hated the posing..the "turn your head just a little to the left, a little more, no to far..." and feeling like most of my images didn't reflect much about me. I promise you, you won't get much of that from me. I tend to give very little direction when it comes to posing unless you are bending at a really weird angle and it looks like your missing an arm or something. I am more into capturing "you", how you'd normally act/stand/smile if I wasn't a stranger with a camera in your face! I like to get you laughing to loosen up the mood, I want your photos to reflect who you are. I encourage you to bring a friend with you to your session, one who's good at getting you to smile and isn't afraid to act silly. Pick a great location or two of your choosing that reflects your interests/personality! I'm always interested in checking out new locations! So all this talk of seniors brings me to the senior rep program. I will be taking applications for seniors who will represent Amber Yanovich Photography for the 2014 senior class through March 28th, 2013. One boy and one girl from each school only.
Are you or someone you know an outgoing 2014 high school senior that would be interested in a free senior portrait session in exchange for spreading the word about Amber Yanovich Photography? If so fill out the form below. Senior representatives will receive a free senior portrait session including up to two locations of their choosing in Jackson County (travel outside of Jackson is possible but will be charged for). Reps will also receive representative cards with their photos on them to hand out to their friends. The rep who refers the most clients will receive a $50 visa gift card, and all reps get 15% off their photo print orders.

The Bennett Family
One of my good friends from work's son, Harker, is turning two this St. Patrick's Day. She contacted me to set up a 2 year session for him and let me know that they would also like to make it an "announcement" session. I was pretty excited to be able to be part of their announcement, not to mention happy for them!
They decided to do the photos at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens Conservatory in Ann Arbor. We ended up with a very chilly outside day but sunny so it was nice, warm and bright inside the conservatory. Harker was not really excited about stopping his running around and checking the place out to have pictures taken. Luckily for me, I also have a two year old and I travel with candy. Let me tell you Mr. Harker loves candy bribes. I'm quite sure I won him over (so long as I kept the candy coming!)
